story of『悲』
The garden still carried
the scent of rain
after the storm had passed.
The flowers the young girl had lovingly raised
lay broken across the wet earth,
their stems bent by the wind.
She crouched beside them,
burying her face in her arms
as she tried to hold back her tears.
Her grandmother did not hurry her.
She simply sat down beside the girl
and looked quietly at the fallen flowers.
"It hurts, doesn't it?"
That was all she said.
Sadness does not always need
to be taken away at once.
Tears come
because something mattered.
Because there was something precious
the heart did not want to lose.
The grandmother gently lifted
one of the broken stems
and examined the roots beneath the soil.
"There is still life here,"
she said softly.
The girl wiped her eyes
and slowly raised her head.
Sunlight began to break through the clouds,
and a pale rainbow appeared
over the distant fields.
Sadness cannot make the past disappear.
Yet when someone remains beside us
and shares the weight of our pain,
the heart slowly begins
to turn toward tomorrow.
Together,
the girl and her grandmother planted a new seedling
in the rain-darkened soil.
Not to forget what had been lost,
but to carry that love forward
and believe once more
in the quiet return of life.
