dye
story of『染』
Morning light filters through rows of indigo cloth,
casting soft blue shadows across the quiet garden.
Each piece of fabric,
carefully dyed by the grandmother,
has embraced its color little by little,
holding years of patience within its threads.
A young girl wanders between the fluttering cloths,
watching the blue light dance across her white dress.
Color does more than stain fabric.
It colors seasons.
It preserves memories.
It gently transforms the human heart.
From grandmother to granddaughter,
from one generation to the next,
something invisible continues to be passed on.
Like indigo slowly soaking into cloth,
kindness, memories, and love quietly become part of who we are.
Perhaps this is what “染” truly means—
not simply to dye,
but to let life gently color the heart.
