禁 – Prohibit | Kanji Art
At the wooden veranda of Kiyomizu-dera,
beneath the fading light of evening,
a boy turns back—
not to leave,
but to align his shoes.
One by one,
he places them carefully on the corridor,
before stepping onto tatami.
The kanji 禁 does not shout.
It does not threaten.
It simply marks a boundary.
To prohibit
is not always to reject.
Sometimes,
it is to protect.
Outside remains outside.
Inside becomes sacred.
This is not a story of restriction—
but of respect.
